Attached is a link to The Filles du Roi Informational and Statistical Project Spreadsheet I researched, compiled and published on 7 September 2024, which outlines much of the key information we know about the 765 Filles du Roi arriving in New France between the years 1663 and 1673. The information includes their origins, arrival date and ship name, age at arrival or marriage, number of marriages, spouses name(s) and if they were a soldier with the Carignan-Salieres regiment, the year of their first marriage in Quebec, the total number of children born, number of children who died age 17 and younger, number of children who died age 18 and older who did not marry, age at death, if they were of noble ancestry, if they could sign their names, the amount of their personal dowries and the dowry amount given by the King, if they lost one or both parents or were widowed before leaving France, if they were a resident of the Salpetriere, their mT haplogroup if a direct line descendant has DNA tested and notable information pertaining to these amazing ladies.
I also included statistics about the Filles du Roi which answers a lot of questions many of us must have thought about at some point. Multiple sources were used to gather all of this information so I noted the sources and references below the spreadsheet as well.
If you find any errors or have information for any couples not included on this list you think should be added, please let me know so I can look into it. It will be a work in progress as more research is done when time allows and I will publish updates in the future as needed.
This was a massive undertaking spanning months but I wanted to share it with everyone in hopes that it helps with your own research and gives everyone a chance to see the similarities and differences within this incredible group of women we are so proud to call our ancestors.
